Our universe and the world we live in are constantly influenced by global trends that shape industry, commerce, and civilization as a whole. As a part of the H.O.T. Project, we have distilled ten powerful and influential Macrotrends that guide our ongoing discussion and perspective about where the hospitality industry - and our world in general - may be in both the near and distant future.

In addition, we have asked our participants to consider the populations and consumer groups that are affected by the developments in our industry, both today and tomorrow. These perspectives, or 'Lenses' as we like to call them, are critical as we consider the diverse populations of people that make up the consumer base for the hospitality industry.
